Transfer Point Solutions

Belt Sealing

With less fugitive material escaping your process, you’ll experience higher throughput, better efficiency and more revenue.

Our belt sealing solutions include skirting products that ride on the belt and self adjust to maintain an effective seal without regular maintenance. We also offer wear liners that shield the sealing system from the material load, prolonging the life of the seal.

External Wear Liner

External Wear Liner is installed on the outside of the chute wall, simplifying wear liner inspection and replacement — both without confined-space entry. Improves liner and skirtboard sealing system performance without adding additional conveyor construction cost. The chute wall can be trimmed to avoid material buildup.

  • Allows precision alignment of steel panels to avoid points that entrap material and damage the belt
  • Makes it easier to inspect the liner and it is easier to replace that liner when required – both without confined space entry
  • Because the wear liner is directly against the elastomer sealing system (without skirtboard steel between liner and seal), there is no room for material buildup
  • Improves the performance of the liner and skirtboard sealing system without adding additional cost to conveyor construction

Apron Seal

ApronSeal™ Single Skirting is a dual sealing system that prevents spillage and requires minimal service to maintain an effective seal. The primary seal is clamped to the chute wall with the self-adjusting secondary laying outward to create an effective dust seal that is out of the material flow.

  • Requires less free belt edge than Heavy Duty or Double Skirting.
  • Offers a dual sealing system in a one-piece construction for ease of installation.
  • EPDM 70 rubber** composite offers good chemical resistance and low-abrasion index characteristics.
  • Available in continuous lengths up to 300 feet (91 m). No splices even in long applications.
  • Applicable on 0°, 20°, 35° and 45° Troughing Angles.

    Canoe Liner

Installed inside conveyor transfer point skirtboards, Martin® Manufactured Canoe Liners absorb impact and abrasion and creates a dam to shield the sealing system from the weight of the material load, prolonging the life of the seal.

Martin® Manufactured Canoe Liners feature a steel plate molded inside the urethane to prevent bond issues. Liners are also stackable to line higher drop chutes.
